It all started with a box of crabs, one van and very little sleep.
Whilst it’s not likely to be the opening of the next James Bond film, all stories have to start somewhere. This one starts in the rural Suffolk countryside in 2004.
Back then, the focus was on fresh, hand-delivered produce to a handful of loyal chefs before most people had even made their morning coffee. It was hard graft, built on early starts, strong relationships and a real commitment to quality.
As word spread, so did we, from one van to a fleet, and from early morning drops to serving some of the region’s best kitchens.
The team grew, but the values stayed the same. We listened, learned, and let demand shape the range. No fluff, no filler, just what chefs actually needed.
We’ve seen fads come and go, but graft, quality and trust have carried us through.
… But some things never change, and that’s what we’re all about.
Whilst food fads have been and gone, we’ve always prided ourselves in being stocked with what you need, when you need it; and never compromising on phenomenal quality at affordable prices.
